Fun with Grammy & Grandpa

This morning we ate breakfast at the air park waving to planes before they took off.

Then Grammy read Noah a handful of books - a daily duty of hers. She got voted "Best Book Reader" by Noah (much to Grandpa's dismay).

Jay is on a frozen yogurt kick so we've been indulging lately. Noah devoured Grammy and Grandpa's bowls before Jay even got outside to join us.

Afterward, we went to the park where Noah mastered the slide.

He went on it over and over and over.

Our time together came to an end the next morning. Noah cried when they left demanding that they come back. On the way to church, Noah said, "Next time, Noah go see Grammy and Grandpa."

Fun with Grammy & Grandpa

Noah loved to wear his hat since Grandpa had his on too. We celebrated Mother's Day and Father's Day at the Cracker Barrel this morning.

Noah took one minute out of his time with Grammy and Grandpa and smacked a wet one on my lips reassuring me that he hadn't forgotten about me. When we got home, Grammy and Noah played with his two new trucks.

Fun with Grammy & Grandpa

We ate lunch today at Paradise Bakery after going to the splash pad and playground at SanTan. We took a stroll around afterward and were held up by Grandpa dangling Noah in the water feature. This is just a small example of things my dad used to do with my brother and me when we were kids. I only wish I had gotten a picture of my dad stuffing Noah in a storage ottoman at Target yesterday.

Grammy scrounged around her purse for change so Noah could throw them in the fountain. I feel bad that she's not in any of these pictures, but she was too busy clicking away with her camera.

She had to dig once again before coming up with four quarters (yes, this thirty second ride was an entire dollar)... oh, the things Grammy does for Noah...

Since we don't have stairs, Noah has to climb every set he comes in contact with. He made Grandpa escort him up and down a few times.

Meanwhile, Nate enjoyed the ride.

Fun with Grammy & Grandpa

Grammy and Grandpa played outside with Noah every chance they got.

Jay and I are chopped liver when they are around...

The first thing we here over the monitor when he wakes up is "Grammy...Grandpa..."

Fun with Grammy & Grandpa

We have had such a great visit with Grammy and Grandpa. This afternoon, we took a picnic to the park and had some fun.

Grammy brought a suitcase full of toys and activities for Noah which she presented to him throughout the week. This is Noah opening his car wash for HotWheels. He LOVES it!!

The Latest

Over the last few months Noah has been saying things that I haven't written down but thought I should before I forget.. I am going to try to get some of these things on video but he doesn't usually like to say much when we have the camera in his face so we'll see... Anyway, he says things like
"Actually..."
"Hey, idea..."
"Try this..."
"My favorite..."
"Oh! Okay..."
He also loves having his animals talk to each other. He has three voices that he uses which I really have to catch on video. They're so funny. One is really high-pitched, one is really low, and the other is a gruff kind of sound. When he wakes up, I usually listen to him on the monitor for a few minutes just for kicks. The other day he had one of his bunnies talking to his giraffe:
Bunny - "Hi, I'm Bunny."
Giraffe - "Hi bunny, I'm Giraffe."
Bunny - "Be friends?"
Giraffe - "Oh, okay."
Bunny - "What want do?"
Giraffe - "Go Disneyland."
Bunny - "WEEE!! Dumbo. WEEE!!"
Then he must have picked up different animals and they were talking about one of them being happy, one of them sad, and the other was mad. I, unfortunately, didn't listen to the whole thing. I had to go look at him in person because he was just being way too cute over the monitor.
We also watched Alice in Wonderland (the original) the other night. We've never turned on a movie for him but thought that he might enjoy watching it with us. He watched a lot of it and now is obsessed with the Cheshire cat (or Cheshire kitty cat as he likes to call it). In case anyone doesn't remember the movie, the cat disappears and reappears throughout the movie so now Noah makes everything disappear and talks about the cat disappearing.

Slip-n-Slide

I bought a slip-n-slide for Noah this weekend. It's so much junkier than I remember the one we played with as kids. Anyway, Noah didn't care. It entertained him for quite awhile.

The Boys' Trees

Mimi gave both Noah and Nate a tree to be planted when they were born. Jay just planted Nate's mandarin tree this morning.Noah's tree was just as small when it was planted just over two years ago. This is his mandarin quat tree. My mom didn't realize that the fruit is really sour when she got it. Whoops! (yes, for some reason, the tag is still on his tree two years later)

More Sunglasses

We went to Mimi and Popi's for a bbq (delicious filet mignon) where Noah found his Thomas the Train sunglasses. He wore them while he played...

In the Car

Noah has recently grown very fond of sunglasses. He doesn't always put them on right-side-up but he doesn't even realize they're on wrong.
This little nugget is just being cute (as always).

1 Month Old

Can you believe it? We have had so much fun with our new little bundle. I can't believe a whole month has passed already. Nate is starting to track a lot better and make much more eye contact with us. He is also reaching out to touch our faces and toys dangling from his play mat. He has also started to make some really cute cooing noises. He is growing really well. Here are his stats:
Weight: 9lbs 9oz - 45th %tile
Length: 21 1/2 " - 50th %tile
Head: 14 3/4" - 35th %tile

Happy Mother's Day!!

We had a very relaxing Mother's Day today. After a delicious lunch outside at Mimi and Popi's, we headed home for a nap (all of us). When we got up, we realized that we hadn't taken any pictures...Noah is licking my minty lip gloss.
Again.
I am so thankful to be the mother of two amazing boys. Happy Mother's Day to all the great mothers out there!
