Brotherly Love

I had to get a picture of this. Don't you love when your kids get along?

Lovies

My boys rarely get dressed up (and yes, this is dressed up for us!) so when I saw these pictures I couldn't decide which to post. The occasion was Father's Day.

Cancun Family Vacation

I know it's hard to believe, but we finally decided to take a vacation that wasn't to California OR Ohio.  Mexico!! One of Jay's friends visited the Dreams Resort in Cancun a few months ago and had a blast. They took their children as well and did not regret it, so we thought we'd give it a try too. I mean, how bad could an all-inclusive resort really be? Turns out, not bad at all!
We couldn't get seats all together on the plane so Noah and I sat together while Jay and Nate partnered up near the back of the plane.
We are not normally big fans of sushi but everything is a lot more tempting when there is no bill coming at the end so we took the plunge and ordered a little bit of everything. And I have to say it wasn't terrible. In fact, there were a couple things that were actually enjoyable (don't ask me what they were though.).

The boys loved the little miniature golf course!
This was our resort from the dock.
We took a little walk outside of the resort.

I LOVE this picture of my baby!!

This is the view from our room.
Nate found a tiny crab that he would not leave alone. He has no fear of  bugs, insects, or any creepy crawlers, so we always have to remind him that we don't need to pet(squish) the ants or roaches (gross, I know).
Noah's favorite thing to do was swim in the hot tub. He pretended that it was his own personal swimming pool. He jumped in, swam from one side to the other, got out to get a snack or drink, then jumped back in. He gave other kids swimming lessons in there and pretty much took over the whole thing. It was pretty cute!

We had so much fun jet skiing. Noah and I got on one and Nate and Jay took another. Jay was driving like a maniac while Noah and I took it slow and steady trying to get away from all the waves he was creating. It was a little stressful and I was a little nervous that one of us might fall off. There were no close calls but I've never driven one and didn't really know what to expect. Halfway through Nate and Noah switched. Nate and I took it easy because he was already pretty upset with all the salt water that had gotten in his eyes. From where I was, it looked like Noah was having a super time with Jay as they sped about, but when I asked him, he said he preferred old boring mom's skills over dad's wild ones.
Nap time
Noah started swimming without his wings on our trip. It's pretty huge because he's only had three swimming lessons. (Another post on that.)
We drank smoothies like crazy!

3 flavors at once

Pina coladas in fresh coconuts. Hard to resist!!

A little ping-pong action

We found tons of fish and a few crabs at this break wall.

Another afternoon in the hot tub.

Every afternoon there was a fruit stand with a beautiful display of fresh fruit on sticks and skewers.

The boys loved watching the boats drive by.
