Doc Appointment

I had another checkup for Nate this morning. His heart rate was 151bpm. Unfortunately, I haven't made any progress since last week. Dr. Muniz offered to strip my membranes but I declined because as much as I'd like to have this baby, I'd much rather him show up when he's ready. Anyway, on a very bright note, I lost a pound (yes, you read that correctly). I am not as concerned with my weight now that I am done with Jenna and Tanj's weddings. I no longer have to fit into that dress which is a huge relief! I am feeling as well as can be expected but am really having a difficult time sleeping since I am normally a stomach sleeper.

Noah's 2 year Checkup

Noah had his two year checkup today. It didn't go nearly as well (in the beginning) as I had imagined. He was fine in the waiting room, but as soon as the doctor's assistant came out to get us, he flipped. He started to cry and would not let me put him down which made it extremely difficult to get his weight. He also batted at the thermometer to keep it from touching his forehead. He was in complete hysteria from me holding him down to get his length measurement. Ugh! It was heartbreaking to say the least. As soon as Dr. Nason came in, he was a bundle of joy. She is so good with him and shows him all of her tools and lets him touch or hold them. He is at complete ease with her (I think because she's not the one to give the shots). He jumped for her and showed off a bit which she was very impressed with. She was thrilled with his progress which made it a happy ending for us.

His stats:
weight: 25lbs 10oz 20th%tile
length: 35 1/2" 55th%tile
head: 19 1/2" 75th%tile

His 2 year molars are halfway in on the bottom which explains his super drool and fever on Saturday night.

Happy 2nd Birthday Noah!

We did Noah's celebrating on Sunday, but had to do something special for him on his actual birthday. Mimi asked him if he'd rather have pizza or a cheeseburger for lunch. He exclaimed without hesitation, "Cheeseburger! Play, McDonald's!" Jay, Noah, and I met her up there for lunch. Luckily, he doesn't really even like the food (if you can call it that). He likes the play equipment and the ice cream though he didn't get any ice cream because his behavior wasn't up to par. I know it sounds mean, but we still have to follow through. Anyway, he opened his gifts from Mimi and hoarded them from all the onlookers shouting, "No, mine!" *Shrug* I'm not proud of those moments, but we do have them.Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Erickson joined us for a lasagna dinner. Noah ate his dinner without a fight and was able to enjoy dessert with everyone. We sang "Happy Birthday" and stuck candles in his blueberry crumble and ice cream. He loved it (to say the least)!

Scooter Fun

Aunt Jenna and Uncle John (officially) gave Noah a scooter for his birthday. We have been practicing in the house...

Doc Appointment

I had a pretty good check up today. That means I definitely gained more weight than I wanted to this last week, but my doctor wasn't concerned so I felt a lot better. My main concern is fitting into Tanj's bridesmaid dress on Saturday. Anyway, my Group B Strep test came back negative so that's one less thing to think about. Nate's heart rate was 151bpm. I dilated another centimeter so I am officially at 2cm and 80% effaced. She said she could feel the whole crown of his head - from one side to the other.

Jenna & John's Pre-Rehearsal Picnic

Noah had a blast at the picnic. He loves all the attention he gets from everyone in the family. Aunt Kathy and Great Grandma E blew bubbles with him.

I think he played soccer with all 40 people in attendance.

Here's a pic of Jay's brother, sisters, their spouses and kids. (Wayne was a bonus to the picture)
And this is Noah opening his gift from Aunt Jenna and Uncle John. They've learned you can't go wrong with Matchbox cars and race tracks.
The actual rehearsal was a disaster on Noah's part. He and I were reprimanded by the Deacon because he climbed up on the alter. Hopefully, tomorrow goes a little bit differently.

Fun with Trinity

We've had tons of fun with Trinity since she, Uncle Matt and Aunt Kathy arrived last night. This morning (while Matt & Kathy went to Urgent Care to have a scorpion bite looked at) Trinity and Noah drove the "monster truck" around the neighborhood.
After the baseball game, Trinity was still full of energy. With Noah down for a nap, Jay and Trinity played anything she could think of involving sidewalk chalk. This is Jay's connect-the-dots creation that he made for:

Doc Appointment

Picture taken today at 36weeks 1 day
We had another great check up. I gained 2 1/2 lbs this time which is approximately a 1/2lb more than I should have, but, hey, I can live with that. Nate's heartbeat was 166bpm which is a lot faster than it usually is but is still within the normal range. I should find out my Strep B results next week. Nate is still head down and I am 1cm dilated. According to ultrasounds, he has been measuring in the 50th%tile which would make him almost 6lbs and 18 1/2 inches long.
