I'm 3!

Today is my baby's 3rd birthday! Grammy went all out with the decorations. She's been asking Noah for months if he wants a Buzz birthday or Thomas birthday and he goes back and forth. He decided on a Thomas birthday for his actual party so she surprised him with a Toy Story-themed birthday breakfast. He was set up with everything from plates, cups, and napkins to balloons and candles. We plopped his Buzz candle on his roasted banana pancake and the rest is history.

We also took him to his 3 year checkup. Grammy was able to join us which was a special treat. Dr. Nason gave us an A+ and off we went.

Nate woke up early from his nap and played with Grammy.

To finish off the night, we went to Peter Piper Pizza. A million tokens later, Noah, Grammy, and Grandpa played every game, climbed every jungle gym, touched and pushed every button, rode every ride and threw every ball. Noah definitely left his mark! Too much fun to take pictures - sorry!

We celebrated my dad's birthday at Texas Roadhouse. We had so much fun enjoying some adult conversation over some delicious steaks. Happy Birthday Paps! We had a wonderful time with you and Grammy and can't wait for your next visit. We love you both!

More fun in the backyard. I don't think I got a pic of Grammy up there, but I think it's worth noting that both Grammy and Grandpa climbed up to the very top on multiple occasions to hang out in the "secret" spot with Noah.

PS: Jay's not in any of the pictures because he was sick almost their entire visit. He was at home in bed. :(

Grammy & Grandpa

Grammy and Grandpa came out for a third visit this year. We are so happy that they choose to take a lot of their vacation time to be with us. We have a great time with them!

Bright and early, Noah took Grammy and Grandpa to the tree house. They were excited to see it because this is also their Christmas present to the kids.


Grammy and Noah splashed in the pool and explored the backyard.

There was a bbq and movie in the park for the neighborhood families this evening. Noah chased around other kids while Grammy watched.

Then Grammy had an idea. Since we didn't want to stay for the movie in the park (it was getting chilly) Grammy thought we should run to the store and pick up Toy Story 3. Noah saw the first one once and hasn't seen the second yet but you already see what impact it has had on him so he was thrilled about the idea.

They also took a detour and road some bikes around for a bit.

Noah was practically squealing in excitement the short car ride home. He couldn't wait to watch Buzz and Woody. Noah squeezed himself between Grammy and Grandpa and cuddled through half the movie. (We watched the other half the next night).

This morning we ate breakfast at the air park waving to planes before they took off.


Then Grammy read Noah a handful of books - a daily duty of hers. She got voted "Best Book Reader" by Noah (much to Grandpa's dismay).

Jay is on a frozen yogurt kick so we've been indulging lately. Noah devoured Grammy and Grandpa's bowls before Jay even got outside to join us.

Afterward, we went to the park where Noah mastered the slide.

He went on it over and over and over.

Our time together came to an end the next morning. Noah cried when they left demanding that they come back. On the way to church, Noah said, "Next time, Noah go see Grammy and Grandpa."

Noah loved to wear his hat since Grandpa had his on too. We celebrated Mother's Day and Father's Day at the Cracker Barrel this morning.

Noah took one minute out of his time with Grammy and Grandpa and smacked a wet one on my lips reassuring me that he hadn't forgotten about me. When we got home, Grammy and Noah played with his two new trucks.
