Noah

After my doctor's appointment, I walked in to Noah having his second breakfast. We eat pretty early at home so this is kind of like "snack time" to him. His favorite breakfast food is plain oatmeal with bananas and strawberries (yuck! I think he gets that from Jay because that is what he eats every morning also). Anyway, he enjoys eating anything even more when he eats at his "snack table". That's what he calls the tray table.
Noah had this little setup that he wanted to show me before we headed back home. These are his fish (Dorothy, Noah, and Nate - Nemo already died) that were an Easter present from Mimi and Popi. Anyway, they like to watch him play with all of his Thomas & Friends trains.

Doc Appointment

Another great check up. My weight has come to somewhat of a halt. I lost another half pound. Nate's heart rate was 135 bpm which is a lot slower than it normally is. I have dilated another centimeter so I am now at 3cm and still 80% effaced. She asked if I wanted to have my membranes stripped to which I said "no", but she did do something that she thought would start to help move things along. I'm not sure what it was but it was along the same lines of rubbing around his head. I'm not totally clear on what the "procedure" is and what it does but she said it may start some contractions. Anyway, she had me schedule another appointment for next week but doesn't think I will make it. Yay! We're excited to meet our new baby boy!!

New Movie

Check out the new movie. Watch Noah Easter Egg Hunting at our house this morning. If you want to see us singing "Happy Birthday" to Noah, it is back under the March 21st post.

More Easter Celebrations

We had two more Easter Egg hunts today. One was at Great Grandma & Great Grandpa S's house:

And the other was at Mimi & Popi's:

The "Hunt"

Jay made our hunt a little more of a challenge which Noah was definitely up to. He had so much fun searching for the eggs that after we went in, we had to hide them again.

Coloring Easter Eggs

After church, we colored Easter eggs. Noah loved this project too.

Easter Egg "Hunting"

This afternoon we went to an Easter Egg Hunt at church. Well, I guess it was more of an Easter Egg Gathering or Collection. For the younger kids Noah's age, they just had them all over the ground to "find". Noah's favorite part was opening the eggs. He wasn't interested in the candy inside either. He would say "candy!" and throw it back on the ground. Believe it or not, he didn't eat any of it. We didn't encourage it and he didn't ask so we just kept "hunting" as usual. If he had asked, we would have let him sample though. He was amazed by all the eggs and kept exclaiming "Easter Eggs Everywhere!!"

Of course, he found some melted chocolate on the ground and just had to pick it up to examine it.

Fun at the Park

Noah had so much fun at the park this afternoon. He laughed and squealed in excitement. It was so adorable to see him so happy to be playing with his daddy.

Doc Appointment

I had another checkup for Nate this morning. His heart rate was 151bpm. Unfortunately, I haven't made any progress since last week. Dr. Muniz offered to strip my membranes but I declined because as much as I'd like to have this baby, I'd much rather him show up when he's ready. Anyway, on a very bright note, I lost a pound (yes, you read that correctly). I am not as concerned with my weight now that I am done with Jenna and Tanj's weddings. I no longer have to fit into that dress which is a huge relief! I am feeling as well as can be expected but am really having a difficult time sleeping since I am normally a stomach sleeper.

Noah's 2 year Checkup

Noah had his two year checkup today. It didn't go nearly as well (in the beginning) as I had imagined. He was fine in the waiting room, but as soon as the doctor's assistant came out to get us, he flipped. He started to cry and would not let me put him down which made it extremely difficult to get his weight. He also batted at the thermometer to keep it from touching his forehead. He was in complete hysteria from me holding him down to get his length measurement. Ugh! It was heartbreaking to say the least. As soon as Dr. Nason came in, he was a bundle of joy. She is so good with him and shows him all of her tools and lets him touch or hold them. He is at complete ease with her (I think because she's not the one to give the shots). He jumped for her and showed off a bit which she was very impressed with. She was thrilled with his progress which made it a happy ending for us.

His stats:
weight: 25lbs 10oz 20th%tile
length: 35 1/2" 55th%tile
head: 19 1/2" 75th%tile

His 2 year molars are halfway in on the bottom which explains his super drool and fever on Saturday night.

Happy 2nd Birthday Noah!

We did Noah's celebrating on Sunday, but had to do something special for him on his actual birthday. Mimi asked him if he'd rather have pizza or a cheeseburger for lunch. He exclaimed without hesitation, "Cheeseburger! Play, McDonald's!" Jay, Noah, and I met her up there for lunch. Luckily, he doesn't really even like the food (if you can call it that). He likes the play equipment and the ice cream though he didn't get any ice cream because his behavior wasn't up to par. I know it sounds mean, but we still have to follow through. Anyway, he opened his gifts from Mimi and hoarded them from all the onlookers shouting, "No, mine!" *Shrug* I'm not proud of those moments, but we do have them.Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Erickson joined us for a lasagna dinner. Noah ate his dinner without a fight and was able to enjoy dessert with everyone. We sang "Happy Birthday" and stuck candles in his blueberry crumble and ice cream. He loved it (to say the least)!

Scooter Fun

Aunt Jenna and Uncle John (officially) gave Noah a scooter for his birthday. We have been practicing in the house...

Doc Appointment

I had a pretty good check up today. That means I definitely gained more weight than I wanted to this last week, but my doctor wasn't concerned so I felt a lot better. My main concern is fitting into Tanj's bridesmaid dress on Saturday. Anyway, my Group B Strep test came back negative so that's one less thing to think about. Nate's heart rate was 151bpm. I dilated another centimeter so I am officially at 2cm and 80% effaced. She said she could feel the whole crown of his head - from one side to the other.
