Jay's Baptism

This afternoon I was serving in the child care area while Jay attended service. He comes up to my room afterward and says, "I'm going to get baptized...right now!" The girls insisted that I cut out early to witness this awesome moment. I asked him what happened that he decided that today was the day? He said he has felt it weighing on his heart for the longest time and felt it was time to obey. It sure was special...

Fun

Jay and Noah played hide and seek in Noah's tent this morning.

Monster Jam

Noah gave Jay Monster Jam tickets for Christmas so they could go out and have some daddy/son time together. Jay said the first half went really well, but Noah didn't want to sit very still for the second half. Luckily, Noah had Gabe to entertain him.
Overall, they had a great time and would definitely go back next year!

Doc Appointment

Another great check-up. Again, that means that I didn't gain much (less than a pound to be exact). We had another ultrasound and got to check up on our little bundle. He is growing perfectly. He is now approximately 2lbs 11oz and 14 1/2" long. His heart rate was 124bpm and everything measured at the 50th percentile although he is measuring one day behind. I also had my glucose test but won't find out the results until my next appointment (if there isn't a problem) or they'll call me as soon as they find out there is a concern. Thanks for every one's prayers! I'll have another update in two weeks...
Today at 28 weeks 3 daysFirst pic is in 3D of his arm covering half his face. Second is his profile.

Big Boy Bed

Tonight was Noah's first night in his new big boy bed. We bought him bunk beds in the event that one day him and his brother may want to share a room. We've had the bed set up for the last week, so he's been exploring it since then. The mattress was just delivered today, so we thought we might as well give it a try. To our surprise, Noah fell asleep as normal and slept through the night. In fact, we had to wake him up for breakfast so we could get ready to take Grammy and Grandpa to the airport. PS: These are very temporary sheets. We just ordered his bed set, but in the mean time, he is using Jay's from approximately ten years ago!

Tuesday

As a special surprise, Grandpa and Grammy gave Noah a carrying case for all of his Hot Wheels. Noah loves filling it up with all his cars and then emptying it - over and over again.

As an even bigger surprise, they told Jay and me that they are going to start looking into purchasing a home out here to retire in. We have always talked about the possibility of them coming out here one day, but this totally caught us off guard since we've always been the ones hounding them about it. We couldn't be more excited!!

More fun!

We've been having so much fun with Grammy and Grandpa! This morning they surprised us with a double stroller for Noah and his brother. We are so grateful for their generosity - thank you so much for the wonderful gift! After picking it up at BRU, we ate lunch at Peter Piper Pizza and let Noah wander a bit. He loved everything!

Sunday

After church today, we went to San Tan Mall and indulged in a delicious lunch at Paradise Bakery. Thanks Grammy!! Afterward, Noah ran around the playground with Grammy and Grandpa. He definitely thought they were way more fun than any of the kids. We visited all the puppies before heading home for a nap.
Later after dinner, Jay lit the fire pit and we sat under our new gazebo and enjoyed each others company.

Grandpa & Grammy

Noah did not skip a beat when Grandpa and Grammy arrived last night from Ohio. We thought it might take him a minute to warm up to them since he hasn't seen them since June and this will only be the third time he's ever seen them. Nope. He showed them all his books on the way home from the airport exclaiming, "Grandpa! Grammy! Look! Play!" even if they only turned their heads away for a moment.

This afternoon we packed a lunch and went to Desert Breeze Park for a picnic. It was a beautiful day to be outside.

Grammy took him on all the playground equipment. They roamed back and forth exploring everything it had to offer.

Grammy also took Noah on the train. Now, they didn't actually get to ride the train. For whatever reason, after they loaded everybody, they didn't start the train. They waited for at least ten minutes. In the mean time, Noah didn't understand what was going on and insisted on getting off. I guess that's not what he had in mind (us either).

So they went on the swing and yelled, "WEEEE!!!"

We almost had the same problem with the carousel. Noah was the first in line but couldn't decide which animal he wanted to sit on only soon deciding that he didn't want to sit at all. Jay had to intervene and choose one for him, place him on it and show him that he would love it - and he did. After all this, we realized it was an hour and a half past his nap time. Ooops!
After dinner, Dad, Pam, Jay, and I went to the Hale Theater and saw the play "Beau Jest". It was really cute. We then enjoyed some Cheesecake Factory cheesecake. Mmm!

Doc Appointment

I had another check up today at 26w3d. Everything is great!!! And when I say great, I mean I only gained three pounds this month. I am so excited! Anyway, his heart rate was 155. It took her awhile to get it because he was squirming so much. I have an ultrasound and my glucose test scheduled in two weeks, and I'll be visiting the doctor every two weeks from here on out. On Monday I'll be in my third trimester. I can't believe how time is flying. This pic was taken a few days ago at 25w5d.

Waiting...

We also went out to dinner. There was a pretty long wait so we hung out with Noah outside.

After dinner, we stopped at a shoe store where Jay and Noah found an old Batman car to sit in.

Treats!

I have been so good with my eating that today we decided to go all out and treat ourselves to some ice cream. Jay and Noah shared a hot fudge sundae and Noah and I shared a dipped ice cream cone. I think Noah liked the cone better because he was able to hold it.
