Jay and I always check on Noah one last time before we head off to bed. This is what we found tonight.

Decorating

Jay, Noah, and I decorated our tree together tonight. It was a little chaotic with Noah helping because he was not careful with the ornaments nor did he take any note of the sharp hooks dangling off each of them. He was all over the place because he was so excited - back and forth from his little tree to the big one.

Up Goes the Tree

We put up the tree while Noah napped, so you can imagine how surprised he was to wake up to such a treat. He was so thrilled. He started adding ornaments to his tree right away. Don't mind the sweat around his ear - like I said, he just woke up! :)

Testing, Testing, 1, 2, 3

We just got a new camera because our old one will no longer hold a charge. Jay took some pics of him and Noah to test it out.

Noah's 1st Haircut

Noah has been sporting a small mullet until today. He received his first haircut and did really well half the time. The other half he was screaming and trying to get down. Once Daddy sat with him he was fine. We saved some of his hair to put away in his memory box.

It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas!

This morning we decided to put up our Christmas lights. It's even more exciting now that Noah understands that this is all Christmas related.

Clean Teeth for All

Noah is finally tolerating his teeth being brushed. We used to have to hold him on the ground to get the job done, but now he is okay with it. In fact, after his teeth are clean, he brushes his own teeth as well as Pluto's and Elmo's.

Jenna and John

Jenna had a beautiful bridal shower this afternoon. We are excited for John and Jenna to get married. They make such a great couple AND Noah absolutely adores John. He gets so excited around him that he accidentally calls him "JennaJohn" and pretty much demands that he is at his side the entire evening. Congratulations again - not too much longer!

Hard at Work

This morning we washed the cars together as a family (only to have it sprinkle on them both a few hours later). Noah didn't hesitate to help. He loved playing in the bubbles most of all.

What a Beautiful Day!

This morning Jay and I found out that we are expecting a baby boy! He was moving around so much which I wasn't surprised to see since I've felt those little limbs jumping around inside me for the last two and a half weeks. It was great to see all the life in him! As the ultrasound tech stilled the shots to get measurements, Jay gets excited and yells, "Uh oh - I've seen those before!" (referring to his genitals). The ultrasound tech confirmed that he knew what he was looking at. His heart rate was 148bpm and is measuring a few days ahead of schedule which is completely different than my experience with Noah. Noah always measured small and they did ultrasounds to keep track of his growth throughout the second half of my pregnancy only to deliver a completely average size 6lb15oz bundle. Anyway, he currently weighs 10 oz and is approximately 8 inches long. We couldn't be more thrilled to give Noah the gift of a forever friend and brother (not to mention playmate). Jay is running around with a grin from ear to ear and I can barely keep the tears out of my eyes just thinking about this perfect little life inside me.

Congratulations!!

Kristen and Dustin welcomed Emry to their family this morning. He weighed in at 8lb 6oz and 21 1/2" long. It was so awesome to be there when he was born. I can't believe we're going to have one of those little nuggets here soon! Congratulations guys!!

Shopping

We did a little more browsing today. Noah is so much better walking around than he is in the cart. The only downfall is that he finds everything that he likes and wants to hold it. He carried five mickey/poo characters with him for a few aisles until he found other things he wanted to touch instead. This is him sitting with "Tanta" (Santa - he's on the bag behind him.)

Shopping

This afternoon we went to Toys R Us. Noah found this cute little birthday hat to wear around the store while we looked.

Noah had so much fun tonight. He obviously didn't understand "Halloween" but had a blast seeing the pumpees and scarecrow in the front yards. We'd be sitting at the fire in our driveway and he'd grab our hand and say "let's go. pumpees. scarecrow" and then walk us to a neighbor's house to view their display. He's definitely the cutest Yoda I've ever seen. I think he could even replace the original.

Halloween Cookies

This afternoon Mimi, Noah, and I decorated Halloween cookies. Noah had a blast showing his artistic side. He didn't realize that the frosting and candy corn were edible until he saw Mimi take a bite of a cookie. He looked at me like "Can I try one?" We gave him the go-ahead and he licked it exclaiming "birthday cake cookie" as he licked the frosting off.

I'm so glad that he enjoys sweets in moderation like Jay. Jay can't eat anything too sugary or limits himself to a small portion. I, on the other hand... when I find something I love, I want to indulge. Anyway, after almost finishing a whole cookie, he had his fix and decorated a little longer before wanting to play with his trucks. These are the cookies he decorated:
